Having a hard time sleeping or staying asleep? Here is an easy method of making yourself tired. I call it, ‘The Blinking Induction.’ Step One: Begin by telling yourself, “I will fall asleep when I get to number 95.” Start to breath slowly using your entire diaphragm. (Diaphragmatic Breathing is done by extending your stomach as you inhale.) Step Two: Close your eyes and begin counting to yourself. Step Three: Here is the trick. Upon saying the ODD numbers (1 – 3 – 5 etc), OPEN your eyes. Upon stating the EVEN numbers, close your eyes. Slowly drag out the EVEN count. Most likely you will find your eyes getting exhausted, while your mind feeling foggy and distant. Unable to think due to counting, you should slowly drift into peaceful sleep.
